NAWAL ZOUGHBI:ELLI TMANETOH

Customers' Reviews:

I can say confidently it is the best album released so far by Nawal Al-Zoghbi and the best album released this summer. It is perfect from all aspects, very innovative music, great lyrics and an amazing performance. It is all in all a romantic spell that captures your heart and takes you to higher grounds. The songs that I highly recommend other than Elli Tmanito are "Hbeeb Dialy", "Nar El-Gharam" , "Yana Yana" , "Trikni Roh" those songs are not only the best songs in the album but each one of them are completely new in terms of tunes, musical arrangement and performance. This album is a great leap for Nawal I salute her, she is the princess of Arabic pop music.

It seems like originality is becoming rarer to find. In this album Nawal copies Shakira's look in the album cover (Shakira's video clip Objection/Tango), and Nawal copies Shakira's hit song Whenever Wherever in Trekni Rooh. In addition, Nawal's song nar el gharam is similar to Shakira's hit ojos asi. It's ironic that some Arab singers, like Nawal El Zoghbi and Amr Diab (in his album Aktar Wahed) sing clearly Arab styles only after Shakira, Sting and Ricky Martin top charts with their Arab-style songs. Nawal copies Shadia's style in Yana yana composed by the notorious Mohammad Reheem who is known for stealing old Arabic songs. Also Nawal's elli tmanneto video clip is exactly stolen from the Spice Girl's video clip Holler. Something I found positive in this album is that Nawal sings in the Algerian accent in habibi diali.

I'm one of Nawal's biggest fans! I don't understand arabic yet I love her music. Its truly her talent as an entertainer and her beautiful voice that has captured my heart. This album is yet another example of Nawal's true artistic abilities, as a singer, writer and prodcucer. If I could just translate the arabic lyrics I beleive that my love for Nawal's music would grow deeper.

Fans of Nawal will recognize her typical style and talent in the first two cuts and also the last two. As she continues to expand her range of type and flavor she brings her unique talent and style across with wonderful results. The addition of different instruments (flute, castanets, Spanish and acoustical guitars) compliment her voice nicely. Ghib an aynayya is a haunting sad song, Nar El Gharam and Yana Yana have the sound of more traditional Arabic music, Trikni Rouh has that driving rhythm that Nawal carries off so well, Habib Dialy is very different for her (great instrumentation) but the best is the Flamenco rhythm of Malak Ayala Yamine (my favorite; I'll play this one over and over). Great album!.

A great job by Nawal once again! This CD contains a wide variety of styles which appeal to audiences of all kinds. I highly recommend the songs "Habib Dialy" and "Trikni Rooh" although every song in this album is unique and definitely worth hearing. Nawal is simply perfect throughout the whole album and really lets her fans FEEL the words of her songs, rather than just hear them. I must say that out of all her previous albums, I believe that this one is the most moving. Nawal puts her heart and soul into the song "Ghib an anaya" and sings it with such a powerful voice that it is bound to leave an impression on you. Unlike many albums released this summer, this is one that I am sure will stick around for months to come. Congratulations Nawal on your WONDERFUL album, keep up the great work.

I have to agree with the opinion and critique that was rendered by S. Assem. I’m an educated Lebanese who has appreciation for fine art and music. Nawal Zogby is from my country. I was one of her enthusiastic fans. Nevertheless, her artistic abilities seem to have started dwindling in the past year or so. Her new album by definition is inferior in quality, content and originality to her past productions. She is now an imitator rather than an innovator. For those who do not know much about other nations’ arts, think that Nawal is doing something creative now. For those that are well informed, know well that her recent imitative production is on the cheap side. I hope that this is just a short-lived interruption to her career in music. I hope she will make quick adjustment and recovery from this down step in her career. She also has lost a lot of beauty and luster with her new artificial looking lips. I hope she will perform a reversal cosmetic surgery to regain her natural looking old lips. She looked much better before.

Well what can I say. Nawal Al-Zoughbi's new album "Elli Tmanetoh" is simply fantastic. I have listen to it over and over again without feeling tired of it at all. Though every song is different to the other they fit together so well. Her new songs put you in a dreamy mood, the rhythms and lyrics are wonderful and catchy. You can find dancy tunes like the titel track "Elli Tmanetoh" or "Bilbalak", a smooth mid tempo song like "Habibi dialy" or an emotional ballad like "Gheeb an ainaiya". As for me I love all the songs on this album and I think the this album is her best ever.

What a great album from nawal. A perfect new style in rhythms that nawal brought to her music. Well it's not a sin for a singers like nawal, and amr to follow this kind of music. Our new generation needs new music. And to find such an icons like nawal and amr is so rarely these days. Nawal's latest album is perfect from all the aspects. The rhythms are great, and the lyrics are so perfect with the music and they fit so well togther.

I love this album. I do not agree with the view that Nawal is copying from other singers such as Shakira. There could be some similiraity, but Nawal kept its own character and it has more depth that the shallow Shakira’s tune. Also, the music style varies from one song to the other, keeping the listner fixed to her beautiful songs. I like Shakira, but her recent album has 2 good songs. On the other hand Nawal's album has 5 or 6 songs that are wonderful. In fact Nawal's song "Habebi Dialy" alone is an album of its own. I love Nawal's songs whether she sings in my Egyptian accent or Algerian or any other accent for that matter. It is Nawal's that gives beauty to the accent and not vice versa.

A wonderful album, and this is one of the best work by Nawal. I am really addicted to the Trikny Rooh, a highly recommended and the loveliest track. The title song, Elly Tmanetoh is very excellent, and I think actually there is no a word that can be used to describe how great it is! Bilbaklak has a good sound of Lebanese dance music, and I also like Habib Dialy, which was sung in Algerian accent and close to Rai rthym. Malek Aleya Yameen is another can-do track. But, I can stand for Nar El Gharam because The music is too common!.

Robert
I just can say that Nawal makes a good impression to me. Here, in Peru, I can see Arab Tv, and I was very impressed about her and other singers. "Elli Tmanatoh" is a very cool song, with rythm and music. I can't understand arabic, but I'm pleased to listen arabic artist. Who's Shakira? A one that uses some aspects of her mid-eastern heritage by recommendation of Emilio Estefan. I think arabian singers are authentic, and Nawal, to me, is a proof of that.

Niz
I think that Nawal el zoghbi with this album has proved her self to be one of the best female arabic singers, specially with her song elli temanetoh it happens to be a melodious and rithmic song, in two words: she rocks.

I just can say that Nawal el Zoghby did a fantastic work. This album is very beatiful. It's very plesant to hear to this Cd. I think that the best songs are "Elly Itmaneto" and "Habibi Dialy" in algerian accent, but the others are also good. I think that's innovative. But I preferred toul omry.

Nawal did a amazing job in this album. It is very pleasant to listen to. It is the type of c.d that you would want to listen to all the time, if you don't belive me listen to the music clips. The more tradional like song will probibly be Nar-El-Garam and the most dancy song would probibly be Elli Tmenneto. But the songs that I prefer are Trikni Rouh and Bilbaklak. So if I were you order this c.d now!.

mostafa
I think Nawal did a fantastic job in this album, for number 1 there is the beat ,for number 2 there is the lyrics and for number 3 is the beautiful vioce of Nawal. Personally,i think Nawal did a great job and worked really hard for this album. Some people choose to "degrade" those who are successful and claim immatation.I dont think she looks anything like shakeera in that album. Her songs were touching.Relating to peoples feelings. "Elli tmanaito" has a very nice dance rythem which was one of my favourites. Whoever was complaining about her lips,i'd love to see what you look like.

Hamza
This CD is probably one of the best out there in terms of Arab Pop. Nawal is simply amazing and how outdone herself again!.
