Once again Amr has outdone himself. With the high anticipation of this album and the many delays that has been put out on the release date has made this album well worth the wait. This has got to be one of the best albums that Amr has ever come out with. He has made songs with many different types of music like Sharqi, Hip Hop, R&B etc... If you are a big fan of Amr or are looking for a good example of Arabic music I recommend this album to all.

This is a superb masterpiece from Amr Diab He'll always remain to be my best arabic singer as he always shows us the talent he always has in store for us.All the songs in this CD are extremely exciting to listen to and I encourage all those interested in some fine music to purchase this CD as first as possible for in a few weeks I'm sure it won't be there in music stores.

I've just heard this album now and I have lots of great comments to make about it. First of all Amr Diab changed his style completly, maybe the first time you will hear it, it may sound a little bit weird to you and you will say: this is not the Amr Diab we are used to. The album is great but for me, it still didn't surpass Tamally maak or habiby wala ala balo. There are 2 excellent ballads on the album: "Habiby ya omry" and "Taadar tetkalem", who could be filmed as videos. The rest of the songs are great too but there were no spanish or latin songs, some songs were arabian, some are R&B but I really enjoyed listening to this album. The only big mistake that Amr made in this album, that he didn't start the album with the song "Habiby ya omy", who is to me the most strongest hit ever made by Amr Diab. The only song that didn't deserve to be on this album was:"Kenzy" which I didn't like and I really wished that Amr would have replaced this song with:"Amana aleik" that he sang so many times during his conerts. Thank God that Shakira was not in the album, so this was a good decision by Amr by not making this duet with her. Finally my dream came true and Amr finally made a classical song like Um Kalhtoum's style, great work Amr!.

Amr tried hard and took a lot of time before he came out with this album, however it wasn't as good as expected. It's nice to see him moving away from the Latin, but Amr Diab is still making the mistake of following others' music trends, instead of creating them. Khalliny gambak is the best song on the album because it feels like a complete song with different music parts, unlike some of the other songs in which the music is either repeated too much, or too limited in notes to be a complete song. In habiby ya omry, Amr tried his luck in a tarab song after it has become a trend to sing tarab. It’s a good start but the music is repetitive and offers nothing new to tarab, and the lyrics are extremely short. It also doesn’t feel like a complete song. Tedar tetkallem is a nice soft song, however the music resembles another famous song. Allem alby has familiar R&B music mixed with Arabic badawy/khaligy feeling, and it’s a nice song. Ayesh starts out nice but it’s extremely repetitive as there are two music parts that keep repeating throughout the song. I had a strange feeling about inta ma oltesh as it has a very familiar tarab shaabi style mixed with fast music. As for the songs kenzy, lao ashkani, hannet, kollohom, alli el wadaa and allemni hawak, they are mere album fillers. I don’t know why Amr Diab chose to have 12 songs on his album. Just because other singers did it, it shouldn’t be a trend to be followed. Throughout the album the voice mastering is lacking, and the recording is not as crip as the previous album aktar wahed. The arrangements by Fahd are simplistic with little new. Tarek Madkour in the previous album did a better job. Overall a good try and I wish him better luck next time and I hope he uses original music.

Amr Diab’s new album Allim Alby is here! This new album has not fulfilled the expectations of some tough critics, as they are quick to point out the weaknesses of this album. I disagree. Every single song in this album is worth listening to. It is quite different from previous productions, but it is a new artistic expression. Why this album should not be compared to its predecessor? Because it is different, yet it is a continuation of Diab’s own style. You are able to hear this continuity in “Khalleny Ganbak” or “Habiby Ya Omry.” As a Latino who enjoys Diab’s music I have to admit that Nour el Ain and Habibi albums have been some of my favorites, yet Diab is taking us in a different direction, he is growing with his music. The impact that his music has had in Latin America is immense. Regardless of who he is singing with or not or what kinds of rhythms he has chosen to follow, Amr Diab deserves a special place in the world of Music. Allim Alby is just one more trophy in his arsenal of great achievements.

I'll briefly be assessing this album from the outside to the inside. Outside cover is not appealing, the look is too feminine. I don't mean the long hair, because many Arab singers have grown their hair to this length and more, but it's rather the makeup which is too much. An album cover photo is an important marketing tool, and Amr usually spends more effort on the outside packaging. More important than looks though is the music inside. Amr Diab did good in that he changed the overly Spanish style from previous albums. However his attempt at using Jazz for the first time came too shallow. Jazz is a deeper musical concept than the noisy discordant sounds presented in Amr's album. Vocals in this album are average, but recording quality is not good. To give his average voice a booster, Amr fell in the trap of raising the recording volume too high, and this is very clear to the listener. The better songs are Ayesh w mosh ayesh, teqdar tetkallem and khallini gambak to a certain extent. Many of the rest are space fillers with no originality. Although incoherent and silly at times, the lyrics in this album are a little better than Amr's usual lyrics. However I would encourage Amr to start looking for fresh topics to sing about, instead of always singing about the exact same thing.

This new album made me happy for certain reasons, first he has a new style witch is nice but not that creative. I love most of his songs in his new album, because they cheer me up in some way. Listening to his album makes you know that he worked hared to achieve it, and become were he is now, to be honest I like his smile, it’s better then being sad and lonely all the time. In my point of view I like his new album because it's new and has different kinds of music, also it's nice to see him sticking to Arabic songs again, welcome back Amr Diab.

Judging Amr Diab's latest album based on the performance or success of his previous works doesn't do him credit. However, I believe that though this album was unique and interesting in its own right, it disappointed in some aspects. The songs lacked that certain quality which first drew me to his music. They didn't have that life and rhythm, and vocal aspect of the songs has been partly replaced with somewhat dull and repetitive music. There were also fewer dance songs that matched the rhythm and quality of 'Habibi wala ala baloh' on his previous album. On the whole, as much as I had been anticipating the release of this album, I wasn't completely disappointed with Diab's performance. Most of the songs with some exceptions, made for easy listening. It's not the kind of songs you would want to keep rewinding and listening to over and over again, but 'Allem Alby' is certainly a good album to listen to overall.

Another Amr Diab album has come out and just like many people I grudgingly bought it. Although not as good as Tamally Maak, this album was far better then his last offering (Ana Akter Waheed). The first song in the album, Alem Galby, when I first listen to it was very nice it seemed upbeat and a break from the usual Spanish/Latin beats (that have, I am sorry to say, been done to death!) the fact that it had a very clear RnB flavour to it stood out and I thought this would be a redeeming quality of the album. The next song Ana Ayesh, was very nice but again it seemed very similar to the first song. Gally El-Wadaa’ was the next song and I was now becoming bored because they all up until then sounded the same, very RnB and the lyrics weren’t exactly the best in the world, not a touch on Tamally Maak or Amarain or even Ana Akter Waheed. Ya Kenzy, was next it is one of those annoying songs that amr always puts in his album like Keda Einy Einak in Tamally Maak and Ahebik Akrahik in Ana Akter Waheed, so I didn’t listen to that one and then I moved on to the next one. WOW Tegder Tetkalim is Amr at his best, he usually puts a very slow ballad in all his albums, as can be seen in Baateref in Tamally Maak and Sadagny Khalas in Ana Akter Waheed, and I have to say Tegdar Tetkalim is beautiful. Law Ashqany is the next track and just when it was going well, he spoils it with this mediocre song; it is very reminiscent of Ana Akter Waheed (which I might add I never really liked). Alemny Hawak moves back to the RnB theme of the album, but has a jazz twist to it, it is very nice and I liked it. Habeebi Ya Omry is a very nice song; it is very traditional and reminded (I know it’s sacrilegious to say) me of the songs by Oum Kulthoum, it was very strong in its lyrical content and the music. Inta Ma Goltesh, was a very nice offering it was a clash of western beats and Arabic strings I thought. Hannait is next and again we move back to the RnB theme, its not exactly the best song on the album but is it tolarable (not like Ya Kenzy). Kolohum is a very nice song, it is like Betuwahashny is Amarain, it has a strong chorus and the lyrics go very well with the music. Khaleeni Janbak, I think is going to be a big hit it has strong beats to it the lyrics are very catchy and I am sure many people will be singing to it. Overall it is better then the last album (Ana Akter Waheed) but not as good as Tamally Maak, I don’t personally think Amr will ever be able to produce an album as good as Tamally Maak.

As usual, I was highly anticipating this album, and have listened to it once. I can already say that "alam elbi" is my favorite song. The entire album as a whole is more appealing than "Aktar Wahed," but does not match "Amareen" with the quality of songs. There is plenty of hip-hop rythyms and style in alam elbi, and I recommend it to anyone who wishes to hear an arabic singer successfully recreate his style and image once again......

Incredible album!! Just like always, AMR comes up with a slightly different style in his album making it more intersting to listen to. All the songs are nice, as usual he has fast nice songs, and real nice romantic ones like TEDDAR tetkallem. I noticed people already started criticizing the album and comparing it to tammally maak or akta wahed...and then AMR end up with the best selling artist and album as usual, they criticized amarain, tamaaly maak and aktar wahed when they first cameout... The fact remains, this is a greater album than his previous ones, in the sense he shifts towards more arabic tones than latin ones.

Well this album can be rated from my point of view with seven points out of ten. [Allem alby, ana ayesh, khalleny ganbak] are the best, they are much strongly effecting and their lyrics are more carrying out from the whole songs in his last album [ana akter wahad beyhebbak] which I dont like. A nice orient beat in [habeeby ya omry], but it's like it has been shortened, or unfinished, which is not good for the song. [Hanniet, allemny hawak, ally el wadaa] have too much r&b in it which make them boring to listen, and the repetitive words in [hanniet] make it kind of ear-numbing to the listener. [Kollohom] is a nice song, but when it comes to the style of this song I can barely see a bit of difference from his song [kan tayyeb] from his last album. [Law ashany] I like, it has that unique melody in it that I never heard in his old songs, and it turns you on when you listen to it. Nice work amr, but as an overall critic on the album still [tamally maak] your best album ever. Amr did a great job, he brought a comletely new style to this album and indeed it was so far away from spanish rhythms, but for me it wasn't in the quality of [tamally maak].

Despite all the negative people and their comments. I think this CD is awesome. Each artist tries to bring something new and thats great! This world is all about variety and acceptance. Amr Diab and so as many other Arab singers bring something new and unique in each album and I have so much respect for that. Amr Diab rocks ! I also like Nawal El Zougby, both very talented! They always surprise me with their latest music! Im very proud of their work! Many thanks to Aramusic for giving us the opportunity to review, listen and buy the latest CDs from half-way across the globe.

WOW! This CD is AMAZING!!!! I have to say that I don't agree with any of the negative comments above. However, not being able to understand Arabic, I can't say anything about the repetative words. Anyhow, I think that Alem Albi is a wonderful song that will make anyone who listens to it happy. Ana Ayish is a mix of hip hop and traditional arabic music with wonderful vocals, not to mention music video. The beginning of El Wadaa is definitly western influenced, but the song is beautiful and calming. Despite what many of the other reviewers said, I really like Ya Kinzy. It is not a real jazz piece exactly, but more an acid-jazz which uses less traditional jazz combo music. As most everyone has mentioned before, Titkallem is a georgeous piece and the vocals at the begginning are so beautiful when Amr is wavering his voice to the music. Many people did not like Haneet because of its repetative lyrics but because I don't know Arabic, I didn't mind it at all. The music is beautiful and his voice is really tops in this song. Probably the best song in the whole album is Khalleny Janbek. This song done with vocals at the end of the album makes a dramatic finish and sounds like it could be the closing theme to a movie. Amr's voice is incredible and the electric guitars in the background add nicely to the intensity of the song.

Bravo Amr again! It's a fantastic album with a variety of styles: modern, arabic, oriental... But now there isn't Spanish music that I like as well. The song that I like more than others is "Khalleeny Kanbak", although I don't understand any arabic word. I saw the videoclip "Ana Ayesh": it's wonderful. I'm sure that his album will be another best-seller soon! Congratulations by an Italian fan!.

Tetkalem is one of the most sensation songs I have heared this year. New idea, diffrenet music and great lyrics. Congratulations to Amr and the crew worked on this song. Best of luck to my favourit singer Amr Diab. Tarek - London UK.

My introduction to contemporary arabian pop/rock music, and let me tell you some fine crafted music by a charismatic performer, good production overall. I highly recommend it!!.

My children are having difficulty learning Arabic in America, but they love Amr Diab and think Aalem Alby is one of their favcorite albums ever anywhere. If it wasn't for songs like these ,their arabic heart would be asleep. Thank you Amr for teaching their Arabic hearts to sing. It's about time we gave our heroes their due!.

Amr has not worked to his potential in pursuit of creating this album. I see Amr as the most talented arab singer and musician. His drawback being dependance, amrs new album is great but not touching and pleasing to the heart. I bet that the greatest songs can radiate from him if he wills to put his own effort. A well tried stamp for this album. I love Alby, the first one!.

I was so glad when Amr's new album came out! It was so much better then I thought it would be.I thought that the only song I would like in it would be Ana Ayesh, but then as usual with all of Amr's albums I end up liking all the songs on the album. This particular album was unique (different to all the other albums I have heard.)It was the best I've ever heard. The music was fabulous and off course Amr's voice was amazing! As usual Amr has once again prooved to us his vocal skills, hard work and devotion for his songs. It was a great album! WELL DONE AMR!!!!.
Roberto
Standout tracks are Allim Alby and Kolohom, without a doubt. Kolohom is the best damn thing I've ever heard... I can't stop listening to it. Great music.

I think everyone deserves to buy a CD like this-before, when I listened to it, I just liked the beat and that's all. But now I am older and I listen to what this creative artist has to say...For example, the lyrics to "Aaly el Wadaa" was excellent. When Amr Diab was singing this, he put feeling into his voice and it made you feel as if you were the one saying good-bye to your love. Also the background music to all his songs reflect on how the music will be-if it is very hip and fast, you will automatically know that this song is happy and he is talking about the happy times he had. If it is slow and mournful, it touches your heart and gives you a sinking feeling and you will automatically know that this is a sad song. This is why I love this CD - You will never get bored of it, and sometimes your life relates to it. It'S like Amr Diab has a touch of magic making this CD. It is my opinion that everyone deserves a CD like this. I thank Amr Diab for putting lots of time into making exciting songs like these. Enjoy!.
