Customers' Reviews: Claudelle I instantaneously fell in love with the whole CD. Not once did I think about fast forwarding any one of the songs. I think Amr has done it again with a style that only Amr can produce. The different fusions he uses in his songs and the beautiful melodies (such as the one in saban alaia, my personal favorite) had me rewinding the songs over and over again. Being an American with Mid-Eastern roots, I truly appreciate his different styles while maintaining the essence and beauty of middle-eastern music. Faruk Jessa Amr Diab is the Middle Easts Ambassador of Art and Culture to the West. He forms and enabling environment of confidence, predictability and mutual trust in all listeners. He builds a bridge between East and West in a very artistic way; through his music. Mashallah Amr. Heryanti I certainly love all the songs especially Einy Einak. Although I do not really understand Arabic, I still like the songs. Music is universal!. Allie I first heard Amr Diab when a friend of mine was fooling around with Napster and we downloaded some of his stuff... I instantly fell in love with the music, and we had the music blasting at our Middle Eastern Club Dinner this past Fall. We all always insist on listening to it, and just dance all over the place when we hear it. :) I am also learning Arabic, so I switch back and forth between Enrique Iglesias (to keep my Spanish fluent) and Amr Diab to study some Arabic that is better than the textbook!! :. Federico I bought this album during a holiday in Egypt, as I already knew Amr Diab thanks to a friend of mine living there. Amr always manages to melt the traditional Arabic melodies with modern and sophisticated arrangements; the leading track " El Alim Allah", if advertised, could achieve international airplay. A sort of Egyptian Gipsy Kings. Butta Blue Amr Diab's Tamally Ma'ak is very good album. Even though I was like the last person in the world to get it and I haven't really listen to Amr Diabs tapes in years he always seems to out do himself with the younger generation of Arabs in today's society. Not mentioning how handsome he is and nice. I know Amr will not have any problems with his future hits and bringing arabi music to a new level. His songs generate a universal philosophy of love, happiness, friendship and strength. We all know that not everyone is born great, but his songs exudes the greatness of those qualities mentioned. Rashida This is the first time I have ever heard Amr Diab's music, and I have to say the other reviews pretty much covered it all, "Tamally Ma'ak" demonstrates Amr's excellence in music, he knows how to use his voice. POTENT ASH Amr Diab ,no doubt is a wonderful singer and musician.This album makes classic Diab listening.I would like to point out to some listeners though that he is not a Rai artist.Amr's is a completely different style of north african music.I do wish he would try "fusing" his style with some hard core latin drums to appeal to an even wider audience as i think he has proved himself in this CD and his older ones as the king of spanish style arabic music. It's very sophisticated, wonderful instrumental arrangements and modern sounds, and Amr's voice is still so special. Tonino I'm Italian but I like very much arabic music and many arabic singers, but my favourite singer is Amr Diab. Three years ago I was given by some friends of mine, who went to Egypt, Awedouny album and I liked it immediately. So, when I went to Egypt last year, I bought Amareen and Nour El Ain albums. Now I've got Tamally Ma'ak and I think it's the best album I've ever listened to. I made some friends of mine listen to Tamally Ma'ak album and they found it amazing!I'm looking forward to listening to the new Amr'album. Bravo Amr!. |
