Customers' Reviews: Hussain Talal This is one of the best records kazem has made. Its simpler to understand by the younger generations. And lots of songs still show kazem's unique and beautiful style which has made him the best arab singer alive. I like the fact that kazem always comes up with music that match his voice. The words and the music equal each other which makes it even more special. The best arab singer alive has surprised his audience around the world again with a classical, new album. Thnkx kazem, Peace in all Arabia... hamada The album contains songs with the old style. Most of the songs describe the life between a man and a woman. The song "hafiat alqadamain" has a mix of classical and modern style music. It is so great that it applies to different generations espcially the 60Žes and 70Žes generation and of course the 80Žes but not at the same degree as the two other generations. "sabahuki sokar", "takolin alhawa" and "darb elalam" are songs with different maqams. The first two songs make us recall the old days when Farid El-atratche, Oum Kalthoum, abdelhalim and Abdelwahab were singing. This so-called "gold generation". The songs not only contain great music but also the lyrics make you feel like a bird who are flying between two two worlds where you find love and maturity. "kol ma tikbar tehla", is a modern style song for the new generation. "elhilwa", "mneen enta",and "meno enta" are songs from the iraqi maqam. In "hewar ma-elnafs" kazem el Saher shows his capability in composing songs with different maqams. This song will be remembered by the next generation because it contains different styles of music in just one song. "abos rohak" is like an old maqam, the difference is then that the songs are made like a mawal. And "alazizen" is a "shaabi" songs just like "al-aziz" and "salamtak bid-allah". At last "the war is over" shows Kazem El SaherŽs love to his beloved country. Gilbert I was among a very large number of lucky people who attended Kazem Al Sahir's successful concert at New York's internationally famous Beacon Theatre during his last U.S. tour. Although at first I thought the tickets were too expensive, the article that was written in the New York Times about KAZEM AL SAHIR at that time encouraged me to go for it. Listening to Kazem's voice and music that night made it worth every dollar I spent. After listening to Kazem Al Sahir's new release, BARE FOOTED, specifically the forth track, Neil Strauss's (NYT journalist) words about Kazem came to mind about him being a "detail-oriented composer". The track changes musical directions more than most artists present in a whole album! In my opinion, this album is a must have for all Arabic music lovers. My favorite tracks are 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12. Usually in one album I have one or two or sometimes three favorites. This great number of songs which I classified as favorites tells you that this album is exceptional!. Mira Boudoloh I listened to Kazim's new album and I can't stop listening to it all the time. It's the most beautiful album for Kazim even that all his albums are fantastic. I like all the songs especisally Hafiat al kadamain it's very sensible and it takes me to another world.
